It would be rad if Wikilens could be expanded to include events, particularly local events. Although it would make sense to make this a category, it would have to be a little special. Events would need to disappear after the event has passed.

Events would have

• name
• type of event
• day (date)
• time
• place

Backlinks would be able to tell you all events that happen in a particular place. Perhaps this could also be done with day. If day-time-place were combined into a single page, this would makes things easier to narrow down.

Such a system would beat Upcoming hands-down.

css1971: Something like this would be very handy, at least, some sort of aging mechanism for rated items, otherwise WikiLens is going to become particularly cluttered. (added at 05:25:00 PM on 09/18/06)
