Comic strip series are published on a recurring basis (usually daily or weekly) in newspapers and on the Internet (webcomics). This category includes comic panel series like The Far Side which, although technically not strips, are commonly listed as strips anyway and are featured in the same venues as comic strips.

ddjiii: Great idea for a category, but the problem I have is that the normal life cycle for a comic strip is a couple of years of brilliance followed by inconsistency followed by excruciating awfulness which never ends, c.f. Garfield, Peanuts. How to rate these? At least with TV shows they are eventually cancelled. (added at 12:28:49 AM on 10/07/07)
