Joe's Breakfast Spots    avg: 2.4 (5 ratings)

This is a list of places where I go out for breakfast. Some often, some less so.

Hell's Kitchen
Probably the best breakfast in the Twin Cities. This downtown Minneapolis spot has good classics (thick bacon, eggs, toast, fruit) as well as specialties like lemon-ricotta pancakes. The homemade peanut butter and jams with bread are a meal by themselves.

MelissaSk: DanFr and I went to Hell's Kitchen based on this recommendation. The best hash browns I've ever had. Crispy, and not adulterated with gross stuff like onions and peppers. I also liked the whole pajamas thing.

Baker's Square
Nobody's idea of gourmet, but consistent and reliable when you're looking for a couple of eggs or a skillet breakfast. Good service and large tables to spread out a newspaper.
Perkin's
OK, almost everything here sucks. But somehow they have the best French toast around town. That's if you like thin-bread french toast that's heavy on the eggs.
Gateway Cafe
If you're already on campus, the Gateway has a decent omelet and some interesting French toast (using chewy Italian bread wouldn't be my choice, but the real maple syrup would be).
